Oral Health Florida Chairman Dr. Frank Catalanotto and Florida Public Health Institute (FPHI) Executive Director Dr. Roderick King were quoted throughout statewide media with their responses to the latest report from the Pew Charitable Trust Children’s Dental Campaign. The report gave Florida a “D” for its provision of dental sealants for children. A cost-effective prevention method, the sealant helps to prevent tooth decay, especially in young children. Oral Health Florida strongly supports children’s increased access to sealants, and FPHI, with support from the DentaQuest Foundation, continues its work with multiple stakeholders in order to improve Florida’s oral health.
